BLOM Bank HQ, Beirut, Lebanon

BLOM Headquarters in Beirut Central District

In Beirut central district, Blom Bank’s new HQ tower will rise. Designed by the French architecture practice Valode & Pistre, the building contains several structural complexities including transfer systems, large cantilevers, flying stairs, and more.

Due to the nature of landfill ground, where traditional excavation support system does not function efficiently, top-down construction is seemed to be the best construction method.

PEER provided a preliminary value engineering proposal for the foundation and piles system.
